The days of late have been gloomy and wet... temperatures are dipping sub-10˚C, but I'm surprised that I'm taking the cold much better than I actually expected! No cold rash in sight so I'm glad to take it one day at a time... :)
In the past week you'd also have seen lots of stressed faces around in Regent cos OT mid-term is round the corner this coming Wednesday... *gulp* We are supposed to have read from Genesis till Kings by then, on top of our main study of all the books - including all the people, places and events! I have not read the bible more intensely than now, yet in this manner so much continues to be revealed to me as I do so... :p
Church-wise, I'm real glad to have finally settled on First Baptist, which is downtown - about a 45min bus ride from campus. Interestingly, that was the church that En & I decided to go to during our first weeks in Vancouver... :) Since then I have taken a look at other churches in the past month or so, but coming back to First Baptist has been just as comfortable for me - everything from the songs and hymns, to the corporate prayer, and the preaching of the Word that never fails to minister to me each week. Thanks for all the prayer with regard to this in particular... but apart from just the church, continue to pray that I might be able to settle in and get to know more people. Right now I'm just one of the folks who just come and go after worship... :p
Ok, break-time over... need to get back to my readings - 1 & 2 Kings still left! :p
Praying for you too, Gabe...
